Kathy Marie Bobo Matthews

She was preceded in death by her parents John Bobo Sr. and Thelma Bobo, three brothers John Bobo Jr., Victor Bobo, and James (Jimmy) Smith, and one sister, Debra (Debby) Ormsbee. We are certain that her reunion with her loved ones was grand beyond measure.

Kathy is survived by her husband of nine years, Daniel Edward Matthews Sr. of the home, children Nicole Ann Matthews, Daniel Edward Matthews Jr of Cove City, and son Michael, as well as her beloved pets Copper and Tutu. She was blessed to also be survived by a sister Margaret O'Reilly of Florence S.C, three brothers Robert (Bob)Smith of Tennessee, Johnnie Manning of New Bern and David Manning of Florida.

Kathy leaves behind a multitude of friends who she considered to be family.

Visitation will be held Thursday, October 26, 2023 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Cotten Funeral Home, 2201 Neuse Blvd., New Bern, NC 28560.

Her final celebration will be held at Cove City Missionary Baptist Church, 110 N Main St, Cove City, NC 28523 at 3:00 pm on Sunday, October 29, 2023. She will be laid to rest following the service at Cove City Cemetery.
