She is preceded in death by her husband J.T. Herring.
She is survived by her sons Terry Herring and his wife, Diane, of Grantsboro, NC and Robert Herring of Grantsboro; her sisters Peggy Kucan and her husband, Michael, and Linda Griffin and her husband, Raymond; seven grandchildren Carissa Sanders, Amy Williams, Katherine Blount, Emily Herring, Stephen Herring, Chris Herring and Robin Herring; sixteen great-grandchildren; five nieces and nephews and six great nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be Monday, November 10, 2014 at 11 am at Cotten Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Greenleaf Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 3-5 pm Sunday, November 9 at Cotten Funeral Home.
Her family would like to thank Dr. Cho and the entire staff at CCHC Cancer Care and the wonderful workers at 3HC Home Health/Hospice.
