Dear Jan and family,

We were saddened to hear of Larry's passing. We have many fond memories from our soccer days, which brought us all together. You and your family are in our prayers. Frank and Paulette Saraceno

My grandfather was the best grandpa in the whole wide world. He taught me how to play suduko and mow a lawn. He always could teach me something new. He was an amazing grandfather who always had time to listen to my rants. I miss him so much.

To the Gifford family. I am very sorry for your loss. I worked with Larry in Endicott  during the 80's and 90's. He was a tremendous technical engineer and a true IBM manager; kind & considerate, yet firm & demanding. Larry would go out of his way to support anyone in need and always held his family and church in the highest esteem.

I'm so sorry to hear of Larry's passing. I have tons of great memories of Larry and your family having lived next door to you for so many years. My favorite memory though was when Larry asked me how I cleaned out my ditch so well that ran through our backyards. I asked him if he wanted me to clean yours too and he said "sure". I filled my water can with gasoline, held it so the sprinkler nozzle sprayed it out only to the width of the ditch, walked the width of your yard while pouring it and then told him to stand back. I thought he was going to have a heart attack right on the spot when I lit it and the flames shot up about six feet high, especially when the fumes went back up your downspout and blew a loud pop. He and I laughed about that for years. He was a great neighbor and a great man. The world lost a wonderful person on January 30. RIP Larry.

Jan and family, I am so sorry for you and your family on the passing of Larry. He and you were a wonderful couple and we all enjoyed our times together in Endicott. Your sons Sam and Andy were a delight to be around and I know you both were outstanding parents to them.. I and my family have so many beautiful memories of Larry and you and I trust that your memories of Larry will bring comfort to you.Kyle and Brandon , send their love and condolences to you . Hank and I were so sorry to read of the passing of Larry. We will always remember him as a gentle, loving and family man.  We think of the two of you often with such wonderful memories. Heaven has another angel to watch over all of us.

Hi Jan, Sorry about the passing of Larry. I have many memories of your husband. Beside the memories that my parents wrote on the guest book. I remember Larry being my seminary teacher. I remember sitting on the bean bags and listing to your husband.

Larry "Frank" was a class mate at Flushing High School in Flushing Mi class of 1959  I know most of you know who the Fonz was on Happy Days was, Larry was our version. Mr Cool.  

I just pulled out or class book and here is what was posted next to his photo (lots more hair, and a lot slimmer face, but the same smile in the year book)

"Frank" He seems very quite, but when you get to know him, he's a small riot.  The drop in his marks is the event which he says he'll always remember about good old F.H.S."   

Larry was a friend to all back then, me included.  

My wife, also a FHS grad (who had a crush on him although he was a upper class-man by three years) found his obituary on M live.  She ask if the name wasn't familiar.  After comparing the photos in the year book and the photo above, same smile, it was my old friend.  There are people you meet during our life that makes a difference on how you turn out.  I think that Larry was one of those people.     

We lost track of each other after graduation, but it turns out that our paths lead us to the same employer, IBM.  I wish that our paths had crossed again. That smile will be missed.

RIP Larry

Hi Jan,
We were sad to learn of Larry's passing. You both are and were some of our dearest friends.  We had so many great times on Paul Street, Endicott over the years.  We don't celebrate a Christmas Eve or a New Year's Day without thinking of you. Remember all the Holiday parties at your house, the Rand's, the Empey's and ours.  Playing games and eating and just visiting are some of our fondest memories.

Larry always had a smile and a chuckle for everyone.  He will certainly be missed. Please know that you and your family are in our prayers and that Heavenly Father will provide you the comfort you need as you grief for such a great person and loved one.  We love you dearly and are thinking of you often while serving our mission here in Georgia.

When I worked with Larry at CCC he was always so kind and courteous to everyone, a true gentleman.  He will be greatly missed.

He was an amazing person to know. He was incredibly sweet and caring. Everyone who got a chance to meet him was blessed. 
RIP Mr. Gifford

I have been a colleague of Larry's at Craven Community College for many years. I was so touched by his wonderful and infectious smile and laugh;his empathy for his students and humble desire for their success; and most especially by the love and excitement that shone in his eyes when he spoke of his lovely wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. The dignity with which Larry battled illness was absolutely inspirational to me. I will miss our conversations. I will miss his laugh. I will miss him. Go with God, Larry. May He hold you in the hollow of His hand, and may He comfort your lovely family during these hard times to come.

I worked with Larry at Craven Community College and saw daily his dedication to his students.  He once told me that he loved teaching so much, he would have taught for free if he hadn't been hired as an instructor.  He was a kind man and will be greatly missed.

I GREW UP TWO DOORS FROM LARRY AND HIS FAMILY.  WE HAD A GREAT CHILDHOOD THERE.  OUR PRAYERS ARE WITH HIS FAMILY AT THIS TIME.
