Letitia Ann Roche

Letitia (Lee) Ann Reardon Roche of Stately Pines, age 78, died Saturday, May 9, 2015 at Carolina East Regional Medical Center in New Bern after a lengthy illness. She was born on May 25, 1936 in New York City to John and Letitia Reardon.

She is survived by her sister, Carol Mary Sisk (Raymond) of Bluffton, S.C.; daughter Barb Roche Froede and husband Craig Froede, M.D., of Emerald Isle; son Bob and wife Candy Roche of Morehead City; and daughter Lynn Roche Phillips, PhD, and husband Jonathan Phillips, PhD, of Lexington, KY. Grandchildren include Keli Roche McMahan (Tom) of Newport; Ryan Stoner (Shannon Reed) of Norfolk, VA; Kyle Stoner of Richmond, VA; Cory Lynn Stoner of Richmond, VA; Nate Phillips (Morgan Overton, PA-C) of Myrtle Beach, SC; and Bay Phillips of Lexington, KY. She was blessed with four great-granddaughters, Evey (8 yrs), Mina (7 yrs), Caroline (9 mo), and Quinn (4 mo).

Lee was married for almost 50 years to the late Col. Robert (Bob) T. Roche (USMC, Ret.), and retired from NADEP at Cherry Point in 2003. She was a proud Marine Corps wife and an avid reader who loved to exchange books with her sister and friends.

Visitation will be at Annunciation Catholic Church, Havelock on Wednesday from 6-8pm, and funeral services will be at Annunciation on Thursday at 1pm. Internment at the St. Joseph’s Cemetery at St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church in New Bern.

Lee touched many lives, was deeply loved, and will be greatly missed.
