Linda Arlene Melvin, age 84, of Cove City, North Carolina passed away at her daughter’s home on Thursday, March 24, 2022. Linda was born March 27, 1937 in Craven County, NC to the late Sidney Bryan and Virginia Grace Mitchell Bryan.
She is survived by 4 children; Gary Bryan and wife, Mila of Cross Plains, TN, Betty Johnson and husband,
George of Brunswick, GA, Donna Fortin and husband, Dan of Swansboro, NC, and Barry Godwin, son-in-law, Clifford Heath, 19 grandchildren,19 great-grandchildren, brother, Sidney “Bud” Bryan and sister, Lois Jean Mallard.
She is predeceased by her husband, Marshel Melvin, daughter, Judy Heath, and grandson, Bryan Heath.
A graveside service for Linda will be held Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Montfort Point Road, Jacksonville, NC.
