M. Marie Jones

M. Marie Jones, 85, passed away on Monday, February 17, 2025, at Brook Stone Living Center in Pollocksville, NC. Born in Loudoun, VA, Marie was a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, known for her love of family, animals, and collecting.

Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby G. Jones, Sr., who was not only her partner in life but also her first and last love. Together, they built a loving family and home. Marie was an avid collector of dolls, teddy bears, antiques, and antique toys. She had a great fondness for clothes and shopping, and she was spoiled in the best possible way by those who loved her. Her love for animals was also a defining part of her life.

Marie was a cherished member of her family, and she leaves behind her mother, Lucy Payne of Falls Church, VA; sons, Casey Jones of New Bern, NC, and Bobby G. Jones, Jr. of Summit Point, WV; daughters, Deborah Thompson of New Bern, NC, and Joyce Beans of Berryville, VA; brother, Eugene Payne of Warrenton, VA; sister, Diane Kagle of Falls Church, VA; as well as fifteen grandchildren, and several great and great-great-grandchildren.

Her final resting place will be at National Memorial Park in Falls Church, VA, where she will be laid to rest alongside her late husband.
