She was Director of Social Work at Howell’s Child Care Center for 19 years. She served as Summer Camp Director for the Easter Seals and Guardian Ad Litem for the courts. She also was long time volunteer at the A.R.C. of Craven County.
Susy is survived by her husband, Michael Bergener; daughter, Michelle Taylor and husband, James of New Bern; brother,
Timothy Boyll and wife, Brenda of Suwanee, GA; three grandchildren: Kyle Zundel, Megan Taylor and Jessica Taylor and many others she took as her own.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roger and Carol Boyll.
A memorial service will be held Friday, October 12, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Cotten Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service.
