She was born in Columbia on Feb. 11, 1922, but lived most of her life in New Bern. She was a charter member of Pleasant Acres Free Will Baptist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Lynda Dail Hadder and Billie Marie Murray; five grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 8, 2012, at Pleasant Acres Free Will Baptist Church on Old Cherry Point Highway. Burial will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery Extension. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, 2012, at Cotten Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the William and Marie Griffin Memorial Fund at Pleasant Acres Free Will Baptist Church.
