Mark Randall Larnick

Dr. Mark R. 42, New Bern , N.C. , formerly of Johnstown , passed away May 20, 2011, at his residence. Born Nov. 13, 1968 in Silver Spring , Md. he is preceded in death by paternal grandparents, John and Mary Larnick. Beloved son of Paulette D.,and her husband Joe Wohl of Chambersburg , Md. ; and John J., North Carolina . Mark is also survived by his maternal grandparents Paul and Evelyn Howard of Johnstown; one sister Brooke and husband Bryan Raino, Odenton, Md.; half sisters Tiffany and Ashley Larnick, both of North Carolina; nephews Chase and Luke Raino, Odenton, Md.; two uncles Chris Howard and wife Linda of Johnstown; and Floyd Howard and wife Elaine of Johnstown; one aunt, Rita Halle of California and his Beloved friend Wendy Andrews and daughter Hailey of New Bern . He was a 1986 graduate of Westmont Hilltop High School and a 1990 pre-med gradate of Penn State University . Mark graduated in 1994 fromPenn State University College of Medicine, Hershey , PA and a 1997 graduate of Latrobe Area Hospital , where he served his family practice residency; and a 1999 graduate of the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics, having served his internal medicine residency. He was a former employee of Physicians Associates of Virginia , and most recently a partner of Coastal Internal Medicine & Cardiology, New Bern , N.C. Mark was an avid golfer and enjoyed boating and traveling. He truly loved animals and was passionate about helping any that he came across that were in need. He will be truly missed by his staff, co-workers and his patients. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to PAWS for a Cause c/o Amy Tyler. Friends will be received at Cotten Funeral Home Thursday June 2nd from 6 - 8pm.
