

He dedicated his life to his family and his career to Weyerhaeuser. He worked for Weyerhaeuser for 50 years, beginning at the age of 15 and retiring in 1995 at the age of 65.
Marvin is predeceased by his wife Annabell of 67 years.
He was a devoted Grandfather to Lindsay and Hunter, they were the center of his world. Lindsay is a graduate of Loyola University in Chicago and Hunter plans to graduate from NC State in Raleigh, NC.
Marvin enjoyed traveling and made sure his children, Marvin and Crystal saw the world. Marvin was a selfless and caring man both professionally and personally. He will be missed by family, friends and colleagues across the United States.
Marvin was very proud of his military service in the Army during the Korean War.
We are very grateful for the special care he received from the staff at North Carolina State Veterans Home in Kinston, NC.
He is survived by his son, Marvin E. Waters II and his Fiancé Gwendolyn Gracie Newkirk; daughter, Crystal Taylor and husband Buddy of New Bern; grandchildren, Lindsay Marie Waters and Hunter Taylor.
Visitation will be from 1:00pm to 2:00pm Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at Garber United Methodist Church with the funeral service to follow at 2:00pm. Entombment will be private.
In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to Religious Community services.
