She will always be remembered for having such a spunky, fun spirit. Such a joy to be around and a friend who was always available with a listening ear.
Melody also had a very giving and caring soul. This was so evident as she cared for her niece Emily, and in the many ways she was considered a second “mom” to many of Jamey‘s friends. She fed and even took them into her home when they needed some help and guidance. However, the number one love of her life was her son Jamey. “Mama Bear” was always on the alert. There is no way a person could be loved more than she loved Jamey. Secondly, was her love for Rodney and the many animals she had over the years, especially her kitty cats meat meat and T-tot and other family.
Left behind to honor and cherish the memories and joys of Melody‘s life are, her husband of 13 years, Rodney Fleming, son, Jamey Mason and his fiancé Ashlie Newby, her mother, Cheryl Watkins, brother Michael Brame, wife, Katie, sister Elisabeth Watkins, Niece, Emily Anderson and many loving family members and close friends.
Melody was preceded in death by her father, John Brame.
In accordance to Melody’s adamant wishes, no services are planned.
Cotten Funeral Home is honored to serve the family and friends of Melody Ann Mason.
