Mildred "Peggy" Ruth (Culbreth) Turner

Mildred "Peggy" Ruth Tuner, 94, of Trent Woods, North Carolina passed away on Thursday, March 6, 2025. Peggy was born in Gaston County, North Carolina on July 13, 1930 to the late John William Culbreth and Vivian Poole Culbreth.

Peggy had a servant's heart, she loved helping others and volunteering her time. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and quilting. Peggy loved creating things and working with her hands.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Clifton Turner, and her daughter, Cathy Bridges.

Left to cherish her memory and continue in her legacy are her daughter, Sonja Leonhardt and her husband David, her son, Hugh E. Dickey Jr. "Butch", grandchildren Brandy Collins, Lee Lovelace and his wife Chrissy, Steve Leonhardt and his wife Crystal, Kelly Leonhardt Griffin and her husband Bobby, Hailey Stevens and her husband Jared, ten great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, April 13, 2025 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Cotten Funeral Home, 2201 Neuse Blvd., New Bern, NC 28560.
