

Norma Harper Doane, 79, of Parkersburg, WV, passed away at Pruitt Health in New Bern, NC Friday, February the 3rd, 2017 after complications related to Neurosurgery. Norma died peacefully with her husband, Ronald Alfred Doane at her bedside.
Norma was the daughter of the late Bert and Nellie Harper. Norma was a School Psychologist for 22 years, and an Educator for a total of 32 years in West Virginia. She wrote a book based on her life memoirs, and published it in 2010. Norma was a member of Christ Episcopal Church in New Bern, NC, and enjoyed teaching Sunday school in her earlier years. She loved God, her husband, and children dearly, and was a wonderful wife, and mother.
She is survived by her three children, Roger Charles Greiner, Robin Lynn Greiner Hayes, and Melissa Beth Greiner McKay, stepchildren, Rich Doane and his wife Diane. Scott Doane, and his wife Jennifer and grandchildren, Alyssa, Mikayla, Rihanna, and Ryan Doane.

Great-grandchildren: Zoey and Alice Larkin, Adam and Taylor Cozzi, Camden and Nolan Greiner; Owen, Jaxon, and Easton Greiner; Alayna Greiner.
Cousins, neices, and nephews: Cousins: Mom was very close to JoAnn Taylor and her husband Joe, and Barbara Gaumer, and her husband Tom. She had many more very special cousins.
Nephews and Neices: Sabra VanFossen, Jerry Winters, Gary Winters, Pamela Jenkins, Kenneth Winters, and Debra Brown; Donelda Metz, Paula Ahart, and Rodney Ahart. Mom also dearly loved all the spouses of her nieces and nephews.
Pets: Mom loved her dog, Corky.
