Patricia "Patty" Andresen

She was born December 18, 1936, to James and Martha Heath in New Bern where she was raised and lived until she met and married a Marine, the love of her life, Richard A. Andresen. She had a long career of being a bank teller at many banks as she followed her beloved husband all over the country in his Marine career. After their return to New Bern, she was a faithful member of First Baptist Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir until she was not able to attend anymore but then watched services on TV every Sunday. Patty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and animal lover, especially cats. She was also a wonderful cook of which her family looked forward to her delicious chicken salad.

Patty was predeceased by her husband, MGySgt Richard Andresen and her parents, James and Martha Heath. She is survived by her daughters, Deborah A. Lotridge and husband Neil Sr. of New Bern, and Beverly Richards and husband Don Jr. of New Bern. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Neil Lotridge Jr. (Emily), Cameron Lotridge (Whitney), Donnie Richards III (Haley), Amber Richards and great grandchild Addison Lotridge and Patty’s sweet kitty Katy.

Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 am Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at Cotten Funeral Home with graveside services to follow at 11:30 am at New Bern Memorial Cemetery with Bro. Jeff Davis officiating.
