“I shall pass through this world but once. Any good therefore that I can do or any kindness that I can show to any human being, let me do it now. Let me not defer or neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again.” -Unknown Author

Paul Eyre, age 72, passed into Jesus peace and rest on July 7, 2025, surrounded by his wife and daughter. A mover and doer at heart, Paul’s life was full of adventure and service. His journey began in “Southy” (South Boston, MA) with his Italian relatives, who strongly influenced his lifelong love for cooking and eating great pasta. He then traveled the globe, with stops in Germany, Japan, and many U.S. states- including California where he met Vicki, before settling in North Carolina. He loved mountain ranges, outdoor sports, travel, USC Trojans college football, the Boston Red Sox, and his granddog Zeus. As a three-time cancer survivor, Paul was especially proud to have received a cancer-free diagnosis just weeks before his passing — a victory that brought him great joy.
A lifelong learner and a generous spirit, Paul remained dedicated to his faith and church communities wherever he lived. Friends and family remember him as quick-witted, steadfastly reliable, and hard-working. His children recall him as a loving father who tried his best in every situation and was determined to give them opportunities he did not have.
Paul now sits amongst a host of beloved friends and family members who went before him. He will be deeply missed by his wife Vicki; his children Jules and Nicole; his sisters Patti Brounley, Jackie Feaker, and Jayne Genga and their families.
If you can join us for the Memorial service, please bring a story or picture of Paul to share with the family.
