Richard Albert Bergevin

Richard Albert Bergevin, 80, of New Bern, passed away Saturday, September 19, 2015 at CarolinaEast Medical Center.He was retired from the United States Marine Corps, a member of Annunciation Parish, a Fourth Degree Knight, retired from NADEP and a Vietnam Veteran. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

He was predeceased by his parents, Albert and Reina Bergevin. He is survived by his wife Eveline; two sons David R. Bergevin (Beverlee) of Hixson, TN and Richard A. Bergevin, II (Sandy) of Wake Forest; sister Lucille Nolette of Virginia Beach; three grandchildren Elisa Collins (Jeff), Melissa Miesner (Michael) and Richard M. Bergevin (Cassi); five great-grandchildren Jacob Collins, Logan Collins, Olivia Bergevin, Richard J. Bergevin and Andrew Miesner; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, September 24 at Annunciation Catholic Church in Havelock. Family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Wednesday, September 23 at Cotten Funeral Home.
