Robert "Bob" Charles Howe

He is preceded in death by his son, George Allen Howe.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Geraldine "Gera" Matthews Howe, a sister, Nancy Howe Malone and husband, Mark of Anderson, South Carolina, and sister-in-law, Daphine Matthews Davis of New Bern, NC, three nieces and four nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in his honor to Pollocksville Presbyterian Church: PO Box 205 Pollocksville, NC 28573 or to the Filling Station Food Bank: PO Box 222 Pollocksville, NC 28573.

Bob served in the Air Force during the Vietnam Conflict as a Medical Services Officer. He had a long career in banking and when he moved to New Bern he began a career in Real Estate. He had a servant's heart serving as an Elder and Worship Leader at many churches. Bob helped to establish the Filling Station Food Bank in Pollocksville which serves Jones County, and he worked with RCS (Religious Community Services) in New Bern for many years.

A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, March 25, 2021 at 11am at Pollocksville Presbyterian Church. Those who plan to attend the service are required to wear a mask.
