Robert Lee Mills Sr.

He was a member of Sherwood Forest FWB Church and an honorary member of West New Bern Volunteer Fire Department. Robert was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He loved to fish and hunt. He is preceded in death by his parents, Rufus and Lucy Mills, a daughter, Brenda Mills Smith Pelletier, and a brother, Rufus Mills, Jr.

He is survived by his wife Mildred Squires Mills, one son, Robert Lee Mills, Jr. (Pamela), one daughter, Rosemary Plunkett (Van), all of New Bern, his sisters, Mary Hughes of New Bern, Naomi Dail (Robert) of New Bern, five grandchildren, Jennifer Ballenger of New Bern, Alexandra Perez (Oscar) of California, Aimee Pelletier of High Point, Thomas Mills (Claire), and Jonathon Mills, all of New Bern.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at Cotten Funeral Home. His funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, March 10, 2016 at Sherwood Forest FWB Church. Burial will follow at Greenleaf Memorial Park.
