Sandra "Sandy" Elizabeth Creelman

Sandra Elizabeth Creelman, known as Sandy, 65, of New Bern, North Carolina tragically passed away on Monday, November 24, 2025. Sandy was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on January 20, 1960, to the late Hugh Creelman and Elizabeth James.

Sandy was loved by many friends and family. She found safety and peace sitting on the back porch overlooking the farm watching the sunsets. The house and farm were where Sandy grew up as a child, and she found so much solace. Sandy also enjoyed writing, reading romance novels and listening to 70's, 80's, and 90's music. Traveling to new places became something Sandy loved, and she was fortunate enough to go to Paris, Scotland, and London.

Sandy attended college at UNC Greensboro then she began her career at Neuse Mental Health Center where she worked for many years. She then went on to begin a new career at Walgreen's as an associate cashier. She went on to work part time at Crossmark Company as a merchandiser until her death.

Sandra was one to love life and she did things when she was ready and not until. She was a very caring and loving person that always put a smile on her face no matter what she was going through. Sandy always thought of others before herself.

She will be dearly missed by those who had the honor to know and love her. She is not gone she will always be in our hearts.

Thankful for her life and continuing in her memory are her sister, Michele Daniels of New Bern, North Carolina, her brother Brian Creelman and wife Luana of Melbourne, Florida, and her niece Stephanie Creelman, also of Melbourne, Florida.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 30, 2025, from 3:00pm to 5:00pm at Cotten Funeral Home, 2201 Neuse Blvd., New Bern, NC 28560. A Celebration of Sandra's Life will follow in the Chapel at 5:00pm.
