Scotty Lee Hopkins

Scotty Lee Hopkins, 68, of New Bern, went home to be with his Lord on Saturday, November 5, 2022. Scotty was born in Craven County, North Carolina on May 4, 1954 to the late James "Bucky" Hopkins and Joyce Lee Smith Hopkins.

Scotty retired from Cherry Point as a Production Controller in 2010. he loved UNC basketball, grilling, and smoking cheese. His favorite thing to do besides grilling was cooking with his wife. He will be deeply missed by all who had the honor to know him.

Left to cherish his memory are beloved wife, Khrystal, daughter, Kristin Lee Brown and husband, Stephen, granddaughter, Gabriella Lee Brown, son, Shawn Hopkins, stepdaughters, Amber Price and husband, Brandon and Ashley Inabnit and husband, Chad and daughter, Zoey Rene, special son, Nathan Simmons and wife, Melanie, sister, Marsha Hopkins Campbell and husband, Doug, furry friend, Boo Boo Bear, and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Friday, November 11, 2022 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at 404 Booth Lane in New Bern. Cotten Funeral Home is honored to serve the family and friends of Scotty Hopkins.
