Shirley Rose

Leaving behind to honor and cherish Shirley’s memories are her children, Amy Rose-White, her son Andy Rose and his wife Michele, her grandson Matthew White and his wife Molly, her granddaughter Sarah Terry and her husband Greg, her great-grandchildren Kiara and William Terry, and her sister-in-law and lifelong friend Jeanne Levitz.

Shirley was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Leonard Rose, and her brothers, Norman and Milton Levitz.

Shirley spent the majority of her life in New York and Vermont, where she raised her family and built a life full of warmth, curiosity, and compassion. Later in life, she made her home in North Carolina with her two children and daughter in-law, embracing the change with her characteristic spirit. A tremendously loving and giving parent and grandparent, Shirley brought light and comfort to everyone around her. She remained vibrant, engaged, and full of life well into her later years. Her kindness, quiet strength, and sharp wit will be remembered always by those who knew and loved her.

A memorial service will be held at a later date to celebrate Shirley’s life.
