Stephen Westcott Hopkins

Stephen Westcott Hopkins, 89, of Havelock, passed away on Friday, April 25, 2025. He was born August 28, 1935, in Glen Ridge, NJ, to the late W. Westcott Hopkins and Marion Hopkins, and grew up in the Jersey Shore area, graduating from Red Bank High School and attending Monmouth College, now Monmouth University.

Stephen was a career serviceman in the United States Marine Corps, retiring as Staff Sgt. He continued to be professionally affiliated with the Corps as an electronics Tech Rep for many years. Stephen loved living in Havelock and was an active member of the VFW.

Stephen is survived by his brother Mark L. Hopkins (Colleen) and niece and nephews, great nieces and great nephews, and stepchildren and step grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his sister Jane Finn Bean and wife Mona Pearl and wife Linda.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at New Bern National Cemetery with full military honors. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider donating to Tunnel 2 Towers (T2T) and/or Folds of Honor.
