

In 1969, Stuart enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served in Vietnam. He retired 26 years later as a Colonel. After graduating from SUNY New Paltz with a Masters Degree in Education, he taught History at Orville A. Todd Middle School for 37 years. Stuart was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed activities like golfing and fishing. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be missed dearly by family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents Leo and Jeannette Glazer.
He is survived by his wife Sharon Glazer; daughter Leah G. Johnson and husband Corey of Lake Worth, FL; sister Dede Rock and husband Dr. Joel Rock of Westfield, NJ; grandson Jason Stuart Johnson; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews; and his dog Snuggles.
Celebration of Life service with U.S. Marine honors will be 11:15 a.m. Sunday, June 14, 2015 at Miller’s Landing Club, MCAS, Cherry Point, NC. Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery.
