Tanner Sean Wainright

He was a brilliant, loving and kind young man who was loved by every person that met him, young and old. He cherished his family and friends, and could light up a room with his smile. Tanner had accomplished many goals he had set for himself, the first being graduating Croatan High School. His laughter was contagious and one of the most memorable marks he has made in our lives and our hearts.

He was preceded in heaven by his Great Grandmother Patricia Amerson "Pat Pat" and Great Grandfather Doug Amerson Sr." Papa."

He is survived by his Mother and Step-father, Marcy & Gerard Scherer; His Father, Ricky Woolard; Maternal Grandmother, Gwen Wainright "Gammy" and Maternal Grandfather, Danny Wainright; Aunt, Kerri Wainright and Uncle, Christopher Wainright; Sisters, Jazzmin Wainright, Heather Woolard, Erika Norman, Chelsie Scherer and Jessica Scherer; Brothers, Kaleb Livingston and Jared Scherer.

A memorial service will be held at 2pm on Sunday, July 11th, 2021 at First Baptist Church in downtown New Bern. There will also be a candlelight vigil at Union Point Park in downtown New Bern on Sunday, July 11th, 2021 between 6pm and 8pm.
