She attended Cornerstone Assembly of God Church.
She is survived by her sons Gene Garris of New Bern, Tim Garris of Raleigh, Billy Garris of Greenville, and Paul Garris of PA; her daughter Patsy Blea of Greenville; her brother David Bell of Kinston; her sister Marjorie Hill of Snow Hill; twenty grandchildren; twenty-six great grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Cotten Funeral Home chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the service at Greenleaf Memorial Park.
