

In 1953, Thelma graduated Jasper High School, then soon married the love of her life, Wilbur Tippett. Together they had a beautiful family and owned a construction business. When Thelma was not working, you could find her in her garden, sewing, or painting. Above all, Thelma greatly loved her husband and her family. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Leaving behind to honor and cherish Thelma's life and legacy are her loving husband of 73 years, Wilbur Tippett; children, Debbie Tippett and Gaddis Tippett (Donna); grandchildren, Jennifer Loper (Todd) and Lauren Tippett; great-grandchildren, Ava Loper, Natalie Tripp, Aiden Tripp, Mallory Loper, and Mason Loper; and many loving family members and close friends.
Thelma is preceded in death by grandson, Garrett Tippett; brother, Atha Williams; sisters, Christine Garner and Nora Williams.
A service will be held at 3:30 pm on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Cotten Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Watford officiating. Following the service, the family will receive visitors.
