He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, the Doric Lodge #568, the Scottish Rite and the Sudan Temple. He was a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps in World War II.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Eva Claire Sanderson Lucas.
He is survived by his sister, Virginia Williamson of Casey, SC.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday November 18, 2014 @ 10:00 a.m. at Pinelawn Memorial Park in Kinston.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 12867, New Bern, NC 28561 or Oak Grove United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 148, Swansea, SC 29160.
