Timothy "Tim" John Sanders

Timothy was a graduate of Liverpool (NY) High School and served with the US Army in Hawaii and S. Korea. He was previously employed by Crouse Hinds, Fraser & Jones and General Electric. He retired, in 2020, from Wheatstone Corp., after transferring with them from Syracuse, NY to New Bern, NC in 1999.

Timothy enjoyed cooking, wood carving and botany. He was a true nature and animal lover and spent his free time kayaking, hiking, and fishing.

Tim was predeceased by his parents Anita (Ouellette) Sanders and Lester C. Sanders of Liverpool, NY.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Candace (Chichersky) Sanders; their daughters Kara Sanders of Portland, Or. and Emily Sanders of New Bern; Emily’s son, and Tim’s cherished grandchild, Ronin S. Liebert of New Bern; brothers George (Janet Rosen) Sanders and James Sanders both of Connecticut, and David C. Sanders Sr. of Liverpool, NY. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, Tim would have wanted his family and friends to reach out in their own way to “pay it forward”, where they see a need.

A private memorial will be held in Liverpool, NY at a time and date yet to be determined. Cotten Funeral Home is honored to serve the family and friends of Timothy Sanders.
