

There will not be a funeral service, as Ivey wanted to be cremated. The family will have a memorial to honor his life at his daughter, Tabitha’s home at 485 British Rd, Kinston, after the state opens back up.
Ivey was a native of Cove City. He was a volunteer firefighter for 6 years with the Dover Volunteer Fire Dept. He loved spending time with his grandkids. Ivey loved to play music, race, fish, and fly r/c planes.
Ivey was preceded in death by his sister, Jennifer Jones of Vanceboro; His parents, Nellie May and Otis Wells of Cove City, along with his grandparents and two grandkids.
He is survived by his wife, Ellen Wells of Kinston; Daughter and son-in-law, Tabitha & Dale Dixon both of Kinston; Daughter, Sherry Wells of Goldsboro; Seven grandkids, Brayden Jones, James Broach, Sophia Broach of South Carolina, Corbyn Dixon of Kinston, Alyssa Suggs, Taylor Suggs, and Emily Suggs of Goldsboro. He also has several of Tabitha’s friends that he adopted as his.
Ivey’s Daughters want to say, "Thank You" to his girlfriend, Denise Moore for helping him in his last few months of life.
