Albert was a really cool guy and I enjoyed serving with him. I liked his laid back demeanor. We used to chill in the barracks listening to Pink Floyd, drinking beer and just hanging. Great guy. R.I.P Albert.

Brother, your were the one that got me started on the right path with "Hunter" pride. Call it luck or destiny, but I would not have experienced the success I have if I had not met you. You were an enormous  influence, a great friend and a positive shipmate, you will be greatly missed.

Al, you are my best friend, mentor, and ship mate. I am the man I am today because of you. You always meant the world to me no matter what was going on in our lives. No one can ever take your place. I am truely lost without you my best friend. I love you "Tater" and you will never leave my thoughts as long as I have life in my body. My family and I are truely blessed to have you in our lives. Al, we sure had some great times riding the motorcycles.  I will never forget the fun times we had on DET while at CAG 20 together.  The trip to Lake Tahoe has to be by far one of the greatest trips.  We all laughed so much.  You always laughed at my dumb jokes.  You were a good friend and I will miss talking to you on the phone.  I will always remember the one thing that Master Chief said to you and we always joked about it... "You just missed out on 6 bucks worth of profits..Man did you hate stocking them soda's...:)  ."    Rest in Peace my friend.

You will be loved and missed forever Prince Albert. I'll always consider you as one of my best friends. As a young Airman coming up through the Navy I had a lot to learn, and you never hesitated to help me along, kick me in the pants when needed then dust me off. You taught me that honor, courage and commitment were lifes core values as well. Above all I think the best lesson I learned was respect, for yourself, for your fellow man and for life itself. Whether it was burning some meat over at Johns or mud wrestling in Fallon, the times we spent are some of the happiest of my life. I miss you dearly bud.

Tater has been my friend since we were little boys. We played together, we went to school together, and we hung out together. With his red Mustang and my Galaxie 500, we left our share of memories on the streets of New Braunfels, TX. 

I've spent the last week feeling angry, sad, and everything in between. I felt like his time was cut short, but I believe in my heart that God has bigger and better plans for him!

I want to share a funny story with you that I am regularly reminded of by my parents. We played little league baseball and just like every other kid at that age, we drew pictures in the sand, picked at the grass, and kicked at the ant piles on the field. Only when we got yelled at did we actually watch the ball. It was finally our turn to bat and Tater was called up but he was no where to be found. He had somehow stepped out of the dugout and was halfway up a telephone pole having some fun. So for me, Tater is not really gone forever, he has only stepped out of the dugout and I plan on seeing him again one day!

Let me know how the salsa, chips and brisket are "up there."  I shall miss our outings, exchange of e-mails, political discussions and the unique vocabulary of certain groups we discussed.  Rest in Peace.  Uncle Bubby

Tater , I have known your family for so many years , you were always kind and gracious, a real gentleman. Your workmanship was just like your dad's perfection. We have lost a treasure. I want to share my favorite bible verse. Isaiah 40:31 but those who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like eagles , they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint. May you rest in God's arms and have the peace you so greatly deserve my friend.

Throughout your life, your seas have been no less than choppy and the waves sometimes grew so tall, but in the end, we came together as brother and sister to see each other through. I am thankful for our final years together as a family. I am thankful that your spirit lives on in my son and that I am able to see in him the same charisma you showed the world! You didn't always give yourself credit for your greatness, but it never went unnoticed. May your soul now embrace those who have gone before us, and most importantly, may you and Debbie now walk hand-in-hand! Find peace now, and when I get to the big-house, don't slam the sliding glass door on me and try to lock me out like you did when we were kids! I love you! -Your Little Sis

I'm Melody Driver's mom & I want to say I am sorry to hear of Al's passing.I never met Al,but have heard many nice things about him,from both Melody& John. So sorry for your loss. GOD BLESS!

Dear Tater,

Big Al, we had some great times both on and off duty with the Hunters.  You were a great Seat Mech and taught many more AME's to be great like you. Rest easy brother.

All these pictures I'm seeing of you for the first time after 17 years of knowing you really bring to light the true person you were. A son, a brother, a husband, but mostly, you were our friend. It's always sad to lose the people we hold dearest to our hearts, and there's no greater gift in life than the gift of true friendship. The memories shared, and made with you will always be the source of such gratitude we have for God in allowing us to have you in our lives although, however brief it may seem today. We love you in death just as we loved you in life. Our love for you will never be diminished by your mere abscence for you live on, and are with us within our hearts always.
