

Amelia was born on September 23, 1934, to Francisco and Carmen Vasquez. She’s proceeded in death by her parents Francisco and Carmen Vasquez, sisters Raquelita, Florinda, Felicitas Vasquez, brother Valdemar Vasquez, sons Juan Martinez Sr and Mark Anthony Hernandez, son in Law Cruz Sosa Jr., and great granddaughter Jericah Sosa.
She is survived by her beloved Corazon Efrain De Flores of 33 years, brother Pedro Vasquez, daughter in law Mary Martinez, sons Herman Martinez (Enedina), Nieves Martinez Jr. (Alma), Martin Martinez (Rita), Alfredo Hernandez Jr (Lisa), daughters Rachel Sosa, Sandra Soto, Missy Corona (Tomas), 30 grandchildren, 75 great grandchildren, and 33 great-great grandchildren, and one and only nephew Pedro Vasquez Jr. (Jennifer).
Amelia was known for her strong faith in the Lord and her endless love for others. Amelia was a devoted wife to her Corazon Efrain De Flores. Throughout her life, Amelia was known to comfort, care, and be a spiritual warrior for her family and friends. In times of need, she never judged any situation and gladly opened her heart and hands to pray over family. She loved spending time with family, attending church, dancing with loved ones, singing, and most of all, making her delicious tamales. Throughout her life, she worked as a care giver, and we can say with great confidence that she touched the lives of many with her kindness, generosity, and unwavering spirit.

Visitation will be held at Zoeller Funeral Home Wednesday January 29th 5pm -9pm with a prayer service at 7pm by Pastor Jaime Guerrero.
Visitation will continue Thursday January 30th, 8am with a service at 10am.
