Annie Laura (Krause) Schultze

Annie Laura (Krause) Schultze of New Braunfels, Texas went to be with the Lord Sunday, August 11, 2024 at the age of 95. She was born on August 6, 1929 in Gonzales, TX to Otto and Gertrude Krause. She was raised during the Great Depression and was born 5th of 10 children.

Annie married Cleburne Wilfred Schultze on July 3, 1948. Together they raised 1 daughter and 3 sons. Annie was a faithful member of First Protestant Church of New Braunfels. She was a member of the Altar Guild, Bereavement committee and the Flying Fingers at First Protestant. Annie loved sewing, crocheting, and quilting. She also enjoyed tending to her flower and vegetable gardens. She will be remembered as a “Super Woman” to her family. She was always there and ready to take care of everyone. She will be deeply missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Gertrude Krause; husband, Cleburne Schultze; sons, Britt Schultze, Lee Jay Schultze; grandson, Joshua Meurin; 3 brothers, Otto Krause Jr., Ernest Leo Krause and Bennie Herman Krause; and 5 sisters, Pauline Schweihs, Frances Buchholtz, Bernice Seiler, Clara Schriewer, and Rosie Mae Barts. She is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Meurin (Ed); son, Brian Schultze (Pam); grandchildren, Bryce (Candace), Brindan (Missy), Jeremy (Lori), Christopher (Kim), Katelynn (Jonathan), Connor (Skylar), Nathan (Gracie), Fabian, and Faith; 18 great-grandchildren; Kelton, Kinlee, Corbin, Cooper, Lorelei, Max, Ren, Analee, Emilee, Izzy, Christian, Zachary, Wyatt, Paisley, Charlotte, Khai, Jax, and Willow. Annie is also survived by her sister, Sarah Roecker; sisters-in-law, Anita Krause and Frances Krause; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Visitation will be held Thursday, August 15, 2024 from 5-7 PM at Zoeller Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be Friday, August 16, 2024 at 10 AM at Zoeller Funeral Home. Interment will immediately follow at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Josh Meurin Memorial Scholarship at Frost Bank New Braunfels or to First Protestant Church of New Braunfels.
