Anton B. Friesenhahn (Tony) entered eternal rest on April 30, 2014, after a long battle with pancreatic and prostate cancer. He fought the good fight. Tony was born in the family home on November 6, 1934, and was preceded in death by parents Alfred W. and Adele Schlather Friesenhahn, brother Alfred E. Friesenhahn, and granddaughter Amanda Sky Perry.
Married July 2, 1955, he is survived by his wife of 58 years Marjorie Brod Friesenhahn; Children Tonia Perry, Tina Conley (Allen), Thomas Friesenhahn (Glenda), and Teresa Geller (Robert); Grandchildren Shanna DeBlanc, Archie Graham (T.J.), Stephan Perry, Brice Perry, Dr. Joseph Conley, Vanessa Egeland, Tai Friesenhahn, Danielle Pontious, Thomas W. Tony left school in the 11th grade to go to work when his mother was bedridden for two years. He worked for Howard Aero before he enlisted in the Air Force. After this, he began his career as a mechanic at Otis Elevators and retired as a construction superintendent from Dover Elevators in 1993. He was a proud member of the International Union of Elevator Constructors.
He spent the rest of his time traveling and working on the family ranch. He enjoyed going to Las Vegas until the Louisiana casinos opened. Trips included family visits and casino time. Marjorie usually accompanied him. While at home, he was a member of the Bulverde Bowling Club and Bulverde Community Center which he helped build. Family time was a huge part of his life, especially time spent with the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also important to both Tony and Marjorie was a daily devotion period.
