Beatrice Chavana Garcia

Beatrice Chavana Garcia of New Braunfels, TX passed away peacefully surrounded by family on October 5, 2014; she was 80 years old. Beatrice was born on December 9, 1933 in Dilley, TX to Antonio and Eva Chavana. Beatrice enjoyed a full life working for many years as a florist. She also had a passion for good food and was known by friends and the community for her homemade tamales.

She is survived by her daughter, Sylvia Ann Moreno and her husband Juan Carlos; her son Elueterio (Telo) Garcia; and daughter-in-law Carmela Garcia, all of New Braunfels, TX. She is blessed with a loving family including 5 grandchildren, Carol Jackson and husband Craig; John Jacob Moreno and wife Angel Blue; Roger Garcia; Maricela Mancinas and husband Jaime; Deborah Garcia; and a sister, Lucy Juarez and husband Tony of La Puente, Ca. and 8 great-grand children, Caitlyn Alvarez, Ethan Alvarez, Xavier Garcia, Caleb Jackson, Felicity Mancinas, Marianna Mancinas, Vanessa Garcia, and Vesper Lazuli Moreno. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Francisco Garcia, and son Francisco Garcia Jr.

The family would like to thank My Friends Haus and Cima Hospice for all of the care and support they have extended. They would also like to thank everyone for their continued prayers. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Cima Hospice.

Public Visitation will begin 5:00 PM Thursday at Zoeller Funeral Home with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. Public visitation will continue 8:00 AM Friday at the funeral home and will continue until 9:30 AM when the service departs in procession to the church. Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 AM Friday, October 10, 2014 at Holy Family Catholic Church with Reverend Ralainirina Francois Rakotovoavy, MSF - Celebrant. Interment will follow in San Pedro Cemetery, San Marcos, Texas.Arrangements under the direction of Zoeller Funeral Home, New Braunfels, TX.
