Beverly Pearson

Arlene Beverly Pearson, 93 of Canyon Lake Texas passed away on Monday March 20, 2023 at The Heights of Bulverde Nursing Home in Spring Branch, Texas. She was born on August 13th, 1929 in Waucoma, Iowa, to Clarence and Florence Otters, in her grandmother and grandfather Kent’s home.

She grew up in Chicago, Illinois, Graduated from Taft High School, Chicago, IL (1947), Graduated from Luther College, Decorah, IA (1950) and Studied at University of London, England (1950).

She married her childhood sweetheart Harold (Bud) Pearson in 1951.

She is survived by her spouse Rev Harold (Bud) Pearson, her children James and wife Bonnie, Thomas and wife Kathy, Mary, Robert and wife Sara. Grandchildren Beverly, Luke, John, Rachel, Sarah, Stephanie, Paul, Benjamin, and Ezra. Great- grandchildren George, Arwen, Jack, Clive and Reid.

Beverly is preceded in death by her parents, brother Allen, and sister Rosalie.

Devoted preacher’s wife, Beverly joyfully served her Lord. A gifted teacher, Beverly taught high school English and government. As recently as this year, she received a grateful letter from a former student. Her family was her passion and what she held most dear. The home Bev and Bud created for their children was idyllic. Family gatherings were epic. Their Hideaway home, a haven.

A visitation for Beverly will be held Friday, March 24, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Zoeller Funeral Home, 615 Landa St, New Braunfels, Texas 78130. A funeral service will occur Saturday, March 25, 2023 at 3:00 PM at St Andrew Lutheran Church, 7420 FM 2673, Canyon Lake, Texas 78133.
