

He was born on September 21, 1927, in Wall, Texas to Walter Lee and Mary Maude Branum Trigg. He lived on a farm, the youngest child, growing up with two brothers and three sisters. He attended Tom Green County schools and high school. Billy Gene joined the Navy and served as a Fireman First Class spending seven months overseas in the Asiatic-Pacific area in 1945-46.
Following his service, he joined an oil company wireline service, working in the Montana-Wyoming area. There, he and his good friend met and dated sisters, resulting in life changing decisions for both.
Bill married Betty Jo Murray on July 27, 1953 in Billings, Montana. The couple lived in Lander, Wyoming and later settled in Mineral Wells, Texas where he was Plant Superintendant of Mineral Wells Clay Products until his retirement. The couple loved to travel and spent many years taking trips to resort areas. He was an avid gun collector and had one room of his home dedicated to displaying and safe-keeping his collection. He was well known for his easy going humor and storytelling.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Betty Jo Trigg of Eden Hill Communities in New Braunfels; two nieces and five nephews: Mike (Linda) Rogers of Canyon Lake; Sherry (Joe) Bream of Port Aransas; Charley (Caryn) Trigg of California, Butch (Sue) Trigg of Oregon, Rich (Martha) Davey of Wyoming, Bill Davey of Wyoming and Cathy (Toby) Spence also of Wyoming.
A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, March 16, 2013 at Eden Hill Chapel with Reverend Harold Sassmann officiating.
