Christine Scheel

Christine Scheel, 68, of New Braunfels, Texas passed away on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at her residence. She was born to Jean Kneuper and Marjorie (Klar) Kneuper in New Braunfels, Texas on October 16, 1944. Christine graduated from New Braunfels High School in 1963. She worked in Banking for over 30 years and retired from First Commercial Bank of Seguin in 2005. She was a parishioner at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church New Braunfels and loved spending time with family and especially with her grandchildren. She enjoyed arts and crafts as well as reading and shopping.

She is survived by her husband, Fred Scheel; son, Scott Hansmann and wife Cindy; daughter, Terri McDonald and husband David; son, Rusty Hansmann; daughter, Stacy Hirsch and husband Evan; and daughter, Amy Castillo; mother, Marjorie Kneuper; sisters, Francine “Franny” Hartmann and husband Max, Jeanine Riding and husband Gary, Kathline Hafley and husband Rick, Charlene Kramer and husband Ronnie; and sister-in-law, Bertie Bading and husband Nolan; 11 grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Jean Kneuper; father and mother in-law, Edmund and Violet Scheel; sister-in-law, Virginia Brooks and husband Bubba.

Public visitation will begin 5:00 PM Tuesday at the Zoeller Funeral Home with a Vigil Service to be held at 7:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held 9:30 AM Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church with Reverend Anthony Pesek –Celebrant. Entombment will follow in Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Mausoleum.
