Delbert was born in Floresville, TX to Delbert and Alma Tanneberger. Delbert graduated from La Vernia High School, served in the Air Force and continued his career at Kelly Air Force Base where he pursued his passion for the Air Force in his career until retirement. As a jet aircraft mechanic, he pursued precision in everything he did. His love of woodworking, gardening, and mechanics; and instilled this same dedication in his child, grandchildren, and those around him. He was an active member in the Hermann Sons Life and devoted member of Cross Lutheran Church.
Delbert is survived by his wife, Violet Tanneberger, son, Darrell Tanneberger (wife Melissa), grandchildren Kaylee and Haylee Tanneberger, brother Marlin Tanneberger (wife Sharon), sister Darlene (husband Pat), sister, Cathy Floyd (husband George), nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He is preceded by his parents, Delbert and Alma Tanneberger, Mildred and Ernest Radtke, Melvin and Mary Mueller, Eugene and Isabel Mueller, Don and Mary Tanneberger.
A visitation will be held Sunday, February 2, 2025 from 3-5 PM at Zoeller Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held Monday, February 3, 2025 at 10 AM at Cross Lutheran Church, 2171 Common St, New Braunfels, TX 78130. Burial will follow at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park.
