

She was born May 30, 1933 in Kansas City, MO and was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Margaret Lynch, her sister Mary Carol, and all of her aunts and uncles. After attending Bishop Hogan high school, she attended St Mary’s school of nursing located in Kansas City, and shortly after graduating in 1956, enlisted in the U.S. Navy as an ensign. Her initial duty station was St Albans N.Y. where she also received her Naval training. Subsequently, she was transferred to Balboa Naval Hospital in San Diego, Ca. She met her future husband, Daniel, while attending a psychology course at San Diego J.C. at the time, he was stationed at North Island Naval station.
They were married on September 17, 1960 and moved to North Chicago, IL, where she was stationed at Great Lakes Naval training center. She was discharged on April 10, 1963 prior to the birth of their first child (at the time, woman were not allowed to stay in the service if they were pregnant).
They had three children Maureen, Robert, and Nancy all of whom are still living, and eventually 7 grandchildren Hannah, Michael, Alyssa, Peter, Amber, Stephen, and Kyle. After discharge and the birth of their first child, they moved to Chicago, IL where she worked as a homemaker while her husband worked and studied at the Illinois Institute of Technology. In 1970, they moved to New Hope, MN (a suburb of Minneapolis) following her husband’s employment. While there, she resumed her nursing career at Golden Valley hospital in Golden Valley, MN. Subsequent employments were hospitals in North Olmsted, Ohio and Piqua, Ohio; also following her husband’s employment.
In 1996, they moved to Cincinnati Ohio, by that time her health had diminished to the point where she was no longer able to work, and eventually Dan became her caregiver.
They moved to New Braunfels in 2010 to be close to their oldest daughter who already lived here. Besides her husband, three children and seven grandchildren she is also survived by her niece Kathy Lainhart and nephews Steve and James Cord.
Visitation was Monday evening at Zoeller Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Tuesday May 20, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Zoeller Funeral Home. Arrangements under the direction of Zoeller Funeral Home, New Braunfels, TX.
