

She was born on December 21, 1931, in New Braunfels, Texas to Otto and Erna nee Schmidt Wegner. Doris graduated from New Braunfels High School in 1950. While in High School, Doris met the love of her life Clinton August Brandt at the Capital Theater where they both worked. Clinton and Doris married on August 27, 1955, at the First United Methodist Church in New Braunfels and would embark on the most romantic love story. They would have celebrated their 70th Wedding Anniversary this August.
Doris worked at what used to be Southwestern Bell as a switchboard operator. Doris also worked as a Kindergarten Teacher at First Protestant Church and once all 5 children were in grade school, she spent the rest of her life, being an amazing housewife and mother.
Doris is survived by the most wonderful husband and father, Clinton August Brandt. Son, Russell Wayne and wife Pam, Daughter, Tammy Celeste Albrecht and husband, Jeff, Daughter, Terry Renee Taylor and husband, Mike, Daughter, Tracey Lynn Procknow and husband, Danny and Daughter, Trinity Jo Hensley and Jamie. She is also survived by grandchildren, Jason Albrecht (Rayanne), Travis Albrecht (Mauri), Darren Albrecht (Stephanie), Chris Brandt, Mandy Brandt, Jennings Taylor, Davis Taylor, Tripp Hensley and Brandt Hensley. Step-Grandchildren, Monica Taylor, Michelle Taylor, Michael Zachary Taylor, Shannon Johnson and Andrew Procknow, 19 great grandchildren and one great, great granddaughter as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father Otto E. Wegner, mother Erna L. Wegner, brothers, Edmond Wegner, Kermit Wegner, Dennis Wegner, Milton Wegner, Emmitt Wegner and sister Sydonia Rompel.

Visitation will be at Zoeller Funeral Home, 615 Landa Street, New Braunfels, Texas on March 26, 2025, from 5:00 – 7:00 PM. A Celebration of Life will be held at Zoeller Funeral Home as well on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at 3:00PM. A private burial will take place at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park, in New Braunfels, Texas.
