

He was born December 10, 1946 to Floyd Therman Bryant and Mary Louise Bolton Bryant in Mineral Wells, Texas where he grew up. Floyd was raised by his grandparents, Bill and Bessie Bryant of Mineral Wells. He graduated Mineral Wells High May of 1965, joined the Navy June of 1965 and married his High School sweetheart Christie Thompson that same year. Over 52 years of married life they had many adventures, a wonderful family and extended family of friends.
After retiring from the Navy, June 1985, Floyd continued to work for Navy Contracts with UNC, Lockheed Systems, and Grumman Aviation at Chase Field, Beeville Texas until base closure then transferred to Kingsville Naval Air Station for several years. At that time he accepted a position with TDCJ Regional Maintenance in Beeville where he worked till he retired in 2012.
Floyd valued education highly. He continued his studies with degrees from Mohegan College, BCC and took many other university courses in Florida, Hawaii, California and Texas.
He was an active member of First United Methodist of Beeville over 33 years until his recent move to New Braunfels, Texas. He was a life member of the Masonic Lodge of Beeville and Past Master.
He is preceded in Death by his half-brother, Tommy Hamilton, parents and grandparents. He leaves behind his loving wife, Christie Bryant, a legacy of two sons, John Wesley and Matthew Bryant (daughter-in law: Sandy Bryant), 7 Grandchildren: Nathan , Morgan, Erin, and Lauren Bryant, James Alan and Jon-Michael McGinley and Laura Likscow. 3 Great Grandchildren: MaKaylee and Camryn Liskcow, and Hunter Bryant.
Services will be held at First United Methodist Church of New Braunfels, Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 3:00 PM, viewing to begin at 2:30 PM. Burial will be at Ft Sam Houston National Cemetery, Thursday, December 21, 2017 at 10:45AM.
