Frederick Fritzie Engel

Frederick Engel “Fritzie”, 45, of Austin, TX passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at the Legend Oaks Care Center in New Braunfels. He was born to Freddie Engel and Ella (Brown) Engel in New Braunfels, Texas on February 5, 1971. Fritzie lived in Austin for the last 22 years and was employed at Concordia Lutheran University.

He is survived by his loving parents, Freddie and Ella Engel of New Braunfels; brothers, Darryl Engel of New Braunfels and Mike Engel and friend Mary Beth Nelson of Marion; two very special aunts Betty Mills and Betty Dietz and numerous aunts and uncles; nieces, Melissa Shelton and MeKayla Engel and nephew, Cody Engel; two great-nieces, Ellie Shelton and Lexie Shelton. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Melvin and Lorene Engel and maternal grandparents, Clay and Elleen Brown; great-grandparents, Oscar and Edna Engel.

Public Visitation will begin 5:00 PM Thursday at Zoeller Funeral Home and will continue until 9:00 PM. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Friday, July 29, 2016 at Zoeller Funeral Home with Reverend David Collins of St. John Lutheran Church of Marion officiating. Interment will follow in Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be given to Hope Hospice New Braunfels.
