

Gary William Marcoux passed away at his home in New Braunfels, Texas on Monday, April 3, 2017 at the age of 64 with his loving wife of 29 years, Cathy, by his side. He was born to Norman Marcoux and Virginia Luce Marcoux in Worcester, Massachusetts. He was the owner-operator of Gary’s Window Cleaning, Inc. which he founded in 1999. Gary was an avid runner, participating in many Marathons, Biathlon’s and Triathlon’s including the Boston, New York, & Ocean State Marathons as well as scores of 5 & 10K runs all over the country. He was a bicycle enthusiast and also enjoyed many happy hours on his Harley-Davidson motorcycle. He was an active and faithful member of First Protestant Church of New Braunfels participating in many activities including a mission trip to Peru where he helped rebuild a church. He and Cathy collected food for the SOS Food bank and were bell ringers for the Salvation Army Christmas campaigns and chaperoned a youth mission trip to New Orleans and more. He was proud of being an “Opa” member of Wurstfest and enjoyed doing his part to help make it a success. Among his many activities and achievements, his greatest love and joy in life was being a husband and father. He was truly a family man.
He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Cathy Skoog Marcoux of New Braunfels, Texas who will greatly miss “The Love of her Life”; his daughter, Elissa Marcoux Richer and husband Jesua of Bellevue, Nebraska; son Ryan Marcoux and wife Kelly of Bethel, Connecticut; Son Joel Marcoux; brothers, Paul Marcoux of San Francisco, California, David Marcoux and wife Elaine of Millbury, Massachusetts; grandson Azrael Richer;
granddaughter, McKenna Marcoux; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at a visitation Friday May 5, 2017 from 5 to 7 PM at Zoeller Funeral home in New Braunfels, Texas. A memorial Service and celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 2PM at First Protestant Church, 172 W. Coll St., with a reception to follow in the F.P.C. Family Life Center. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First Protestant Church, to be used for FPC School Building Fund, 172 W. Coll St. New Braunfels, Texas 78130 or to Hope Hospice, 611 N Walnut Ave, New Braunfels, TX 78130. Arrangements are under the direction of Zoeller Funeral Home, New Braunfels, TX.
