Grace O. Salas

Grace O. Salas passed away on Wednesday, March 22nd at the age of 82 in New Braunfels, TX. Grace was born in Austin, Texas to parents Jose (Joe) and Cipriana Salas, the eldest of their three children. She lived most of her life in Austin and Cedar Creek, TX, however, to further her career, she took a job opportunity that required her to relocate to Paradise Valley, AZ. Grace then finished out her successful career working for Intel Corporation as a Technical Writer for 17 years. After retirement she decided to make her way back to Texas and settled in New Braunfels. Grace was known for her sassy, no-nonsense personality. She was an avid reader and loved watching the Texas Longhorns and Dallas Cowboys football games.

She is preceded in death by her parents Jose (Joe) and Cipriana Salas and sisters Bertha (Birdie) Lindsey and Rose (Tinky) Smith. She is survived by her children, Marcella Ferguson of Tucson, AZ, Lee Hernandez (Mimi) of Ramona, CA, and Candi Hernandez of Peoria, AZ; her grandchildren Robert Moore (Sara), Lee Hernandez, Jr., Isaiah Hernandez, Noah Hernandez, Hemlock Espinoza, Roxanne Gray, Cody Gray, Max Robins, Madeline Robins and Sophie Robins; great-granddaughters Olivia Moore and Matilda Espinoza; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at Zoeller Funeral Home on Monday, April 3, 2023, from 11:00am - 2:00pm. Arrangements are under the direction of Zoeller Funeral Home.
