Born on January 7, 1954, in Rio Bravo, Tamaulipas, Mexico, Guadalupe grew up surrounded by faith, family, and tradition, which were values she carried lovingly throughout her life. A devoted mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, her greatest joy came from caring for her family and ensuring the well-being of her children.
Guadalupe was a loving and caring person who cherished time with her family. She always offered help and was involved in raising her own children, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her favorite animal was the owl; she loved Almond Joy candy bars and enjoyed her black coffee each morning. She also liked snacking on cashews and pecans and loved shrimp.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Matilda Garcia; her parents, Pedro Rodriguez Gonzalez and Jacinta Sanchez; her brothers Salvador Santana and Alfredo Rodriguez; and her sisters Carmela Velez (Rodriguez) and Bertha Santana.
Guadalupe is survived by her Husband Juan Garcia, her loving children, Judith Rodriguez and family, Juan Rodriguez and family, Elizabeth Rodriguez and family, Veronica Garcia and family, Jesse Garcia and family, Juan (Johnny) Garcia, her sister, Rebecca Sanchez, 26 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Guadalupe’s unwavering love, her faith-filled heart, and her gentle presence will continue to inspire all who knew her. May she rest in eternal peace.
