Mr. Gus Red Alvin Soell

Gus Alvin "Red" Soell Jr., of New Braunfels, Texas passed away Wednesday, February 17th, 2016 at the age of 82. Red was born November 16, 1933 in Boerne, Texas. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Lonie Soell also of New Braunfels daughters, Denise Smith, and Charlotte Cagle; sons, Charles Soell Sr. and his wife Bridget, Dwight Soell, and Harvey Soell and his wife Carrie, brother, Roy Soell, sisters, Darlene Mayfield and Betty Glenewinkle 12 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, and lots of loving friends. Red was a veteran in the U.S. Army, and worked as a milk man for serval years, as well as in hardware. He loved spending time with his family and friends, and the great outdoors. He is preceeded in death by his parents, Gus Alvin Soell, Sr. and Eleanore Elsworth Soell and a grandson Christopher M. Zimmerman.

Visitation will be Friday, February, 19th at 5 P.M.- 9 P.M at Zoeller Funeral Home in New Braunfels Texas. A funeral service will be held Saturday, February 20th at 1 P.M. at Zoeller Funeral Home Chapel with internment to follow at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to the Leukemia - Lymphoma Society.
