

Helen Adell Alexander, 82, of New Braunfels, passed away on Friday, June 16, at Brookdale Senior Living. She was born to Arthur Earl Dillon and Marion (Drane) Dillon in Fort Worth, Texas, on July 5, 1934. Visitation will be from 5 - 8 p.m., Thursday, June 22, at Zoeller Funeral Home, New Braunfels, TX. Friday, June 23, there will be a 10 a.m. reception at Manchaca United Methodist Church, Manchaca (S. Austin), TX, with the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Onion Creek Memorial Park, Manchaca, TX. Helen graduated from the University of Texas, Austin in 1956 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Micro-Biology. She married Grover Alexander on August 17, 1957. They were members of Manchaca United Methodist Church. She enjoyed playing bridge and researching her family’s genealogy. She is survived by her husband, Grover L. Alexander; son, Rex Alexander of Alvin, TX; daughter, Beverly Alexander of New Braunfels, TX; grandchildren, Dyana Karcher and husband Matt of Celina, TX and Christina Brune of Spicewood, TX; sister, Mary Frances Miertschin of Stephenville, TX; and two nieces and a nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents. Memorials may be made to Manchaca United Methodist Church, 1011 FM 1626, Manchaca, TX 78652.
