Fish$teak was a husband,father,friend.  He had such an infectious smile that we all will never forget. He just wanted to share the love of God with everyone. He loved his children and his wife Kwin.  And more importantly he loved God with all his heart. We will never know how many people he touched by spreading the word of God to those he spoke too. But I believe he will need a crane to pick up his crown because it will have so many jewels on it from all the people that he touched.  Love you Brother.

Jack you will always live in my Heart. You are a “Forever Friend” and my life was made better by your “Loving Spirit” especially when we were out on a Mission. You shared your “Love of Life” with me and always made me feel “Loved”! You had a special patience with me and allowed me to feel young at Heart whenever we were together! Your “Smile “ was “Special” and your handshakes & hugs would warm my Heart all over. You once told me “ Pops you never meet a stranger” & I replied “Neither did Jesus Christ”. You my Brother, my friend, never met a stranger. I would always tell you how “Proud “ I was of you. Young Man I will “Forever” be “Proud” of You and your “Walk With Christ “ Rest until Christ calls us Home. I met Jack early this year and spent several days riding with he and his beautiful wife Kwin, Jack had an amazing way of looking at life.

I spent a good amount of time talking with him about himself and his love for the Lord and Savior.  Jack had a way of showing love to everyone in an individual manner, he made everyone he met feel special. 

 I wish the world could have stopped for just a moment and recognize that it lost a truly wonderful man.  I am looking forward to being reunited in God's kingdom and I look forward to knowing Jack as God first intended.

Fishsteak's love for Kupcake was undeniable and unending, I miss you brother, but not for long.

I only nw Jack “Fish$stake” a short time, but he convayed to me his love for our Lord Jesus Christ, and was determined to minister to those that are overlooked by the rest of the religious world. His example will remain with me the rest of my life, and I am a better person because his influence. Thank you Jesus for Jack Lara. I hope to see him soon. Praise God!


I knew when I met Jack back in March that him and I were going to be great friends. His devotion to 3AM and his passion for riding was infectious! I was never content knowing Jesus saved me and turned my whole life around, just to sit in a church pew afterward. Jack wanted to tell the world He is real and heals and saves for real while he still had breath of life. We need to also. He was my bro, and I will miss him greatly.

Jack was more than a friend and christian brother to me.  I considered him like my own son for the tremendous respect he rendered to me. We were so closed that I used to call him Jackie Boy, because besides of listening to christian music, we both liked very much country music.  Even at times we used to speak that old western language like “ I’ll see you directly, or much obliged” and so on. Jackie Boy was always concerned about his children and I always told him to spend much time with them, to listen to their issues, and to answer their questions regardless of the difficulty.  I served my country for over three decades, but he motivated me to learn about construction, it was fun working for and with him.  He was always available when I needed him, even if it was two o’clock in the morning.  He loved Kwin very much and would always seek ways to make her feel better and appreciated.  He always told me that Kwin make him feel GREAT—smile.  Leslie, my wife, and I loved Jackie Boy and miss him terribly.  It’s hard to fathom he’s no longer in this world but trust that we will see Jackie Boy again when our Lord Jesus Christ returns for those who received and accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior!   Jackie Boy was a Soldier of God wearing his full armor ALL the time.  Thank you Jackie Boy for the opportunity to spend time together, to ride and appreciate the planet the Lord has provided for us to enjoy, and for your encouragement to continue with the mission, that is to continue to witness to others the 3AM message.  Rest in peace my son.  We love you forever and will be there for Kwin and the children!!

The first time I met Jack was in Texas earlier this year on a fellowship ride. I immediately noticed his ear to ear smile. Then, I noticed how faded and worn his 3AM patch was. I was thinking, “man, this brother must ride everywhere.” That Sabbath was the best church experience I ever had.  A very unscripted interactive Sabbath school, with a poetic and powerful sermon, followed by a beautiful song service. I kept thinking “thank you Lord for these brothers and sisters”! We went on a fantastic ride through the three sisters, some roads around Alpine and Big Bend National park! We shared, witnessed, encouraged, lifted up one another. I only knew Jack for a week but it felt like we knew each other for years. 

I’m very proud to say that Jack Lara aka Fish$teak was my friend.  I am super grateful to have had him in my life even if it wasn’t as long as I had thought it would be.  I will forever cherish the great memories we made traveling all across the country.  Most of all, Jack was a friend of Jesus Christ. This was evident by his life and gives me the assurance that I will see my friend again soon. Hopefully, the 3AM Motorcycle Association Jack served the Lord so faithfully within, will continue to bear fruit from his labors and many souls will rejoice on that day we all meet up again. Until then may my friend rest according to Revelation 14:13. 

Jack you were and amazing person and I miss you dearly! You were a man of God spreading his love and joy to everyone you came in contact with. You had the most infectious smile and would always tease me and I would tease you right back! Your family has become my family and I love Kwin and the kids with all my heart! I promise to always be there for them no matter what they may need! You are my brother in Christ and one day we will meet again! 💜

Kwin always told me that I reminded her of you because I either did weird things that you did or my responses were exactly what you said. She would tell me, "okay Jack". 
I will miss picking on you or saying things to you to get you stirred up, but I'll treasure those memories for a lifetime. You were so passionate when you spoke. I want you to know that your family means the world to me. I can only hope that I can continue to say and do things that will remind Kwin of you. 💜

Jack had an amazing soul. He was patient, kind, humble and always made me laugh when we were telemarketers. I knew you two were meant to be. I'm so glad you fell in love and had a beautiful family. I just wish you would have had forever. Thinking of you both. Always.

Our heartfelt condolences for your loss.  We met him once and he radiated God's love for people.  There are no words to console you and your children, trust in the Lord for his strength.

I’ll never forget my cousin Jacks voice. A few memories he use to like to eat cereal before bed, and he always wanted to hear me rap, child hood memories of Jason & Jack playing Rocky, Jason was Rocky and Jack was Ivan, I remember he loved Chicago Bulls, Master P and 2pac, The many letters he wrote to me back and forth from Jail I wish to cherish, along with many more memories.  I’m sorry I couldn’t attend today, I’m very far away with not enough $$ I love you always cuz and I know I’ll see you in Heaven one day Jesus Lives and God Bless .. Woody
