Kathryn Barnes Biggs Simmons, 2/18/1930-4/5/2020, the youngest of seven children from John and Bessie Vandergriff Barnes, Bakewell. Married to Carl W. Biggs and later Thomas H. Simmons of Silsbee, Texas. A teacher at Red Bank and Soddy Elementary for Hamilton County, she earned a Master of Education from U.T.C. and was awarded the Freedom Foundation Award for Citizenship. She was preceded in death by her son, Robert C. Biggs and both husbands. She is survived by daughter, Carlette(Cary) Sandridge of Wimberley, Texas; step daughter, Deb(Darrell) Earls; granddaughters, Neva Anderson and Alexis Shae Sandridge; great grandsons, Nicholas and Daniel and numerous nieces and nephews around the U.S. She is loved and will be missed by all.
