

LeAnne Grant (Neely) was born Nov. 17, 1934 in Sayre, Oklahoma and passed away at the age of 76 years. She retired from Sprague Electronic after 10 years. She was a Church Administrative Assistant at All Saints Episcopal Church in Wichita Falls, Texas. She was an accomplished stain glass artist with her own studio in Shamrock, Texas, and Colorado. Her works hang in many homes throughout Texas. She was a reader throughout her life. Books were her passion. She was a wonderful mother and friend to many. She lived in Wichita Falls for 35 years and was a Tornado Survivor on April 10, 1979. It was called Terrible Tuesday. She has a wonderful family who loved her and will miss her daily.
She is survived by her children, Brenda (Clark) Shepard of New Braunfels, Steven L. Clark of New Braunfels, Richard N. Clark of San Antonio; grandchildren, Sarah Shepard (Valdez) and Humberto Valdez of New Braunfels, Matthew E. Shepard of New Braunfels, Elizabeth (Shepard) Roos and Josh Roos of Cornova, Illinois and Ashley Marie Clark of San Antonio; one great-grandchild, Grace Lynn Valdez; many nieces and one nephew a many cousins; brother, Jim Tom Neely of San Marcos and sister, Dixie Richardson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Grant and parents, LeRoy Neely and Neva (Woolsey) Neely.
A memorial service will be conducted on Friday, March 19, 2010 at 6 p.m. at the Zoeller Funeral Home. Leanne loved to read and was a member of the Paperback Swap on the internet. One of the charities they have is you can send money to Paperback and they will buy books for 1st through 3rd grade students. School these days have so many budget cuts that they don’t have much money left for library books.
